Afghanistan: Blast kills three children in Urgon district

Kabul, Oct 12 (IBNS): A  blast caused by an unexploded explosive in the Urgon district of southeastern Paktika province of Afghanistan on Thursday left at least three children killed, media reports said.

Police spokesman Shah Mohammad Aryan told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast was triggered by an unexploded device in the Sarkhat area.

Syed Akbar, a resident of the locality, told the Afghanistan-based news agency some children found an unexploded weapon and set it alight, which exploded and killed three children.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident so far.
