Afghanistan: At least 24 killed in Kabul explosion

Kabul, Jul 24 (JEN): At least 24 people were killed in an explosion in Kabul on Monday morning, local Khaama Press reported.

The incident took place at around 7 am in the vicinity of the 3rd police district of the city in West of Kabul, the national capital.

Though the type of the  explosion is yet to be ascertained, police said that it was a suicide attack.

At least 24 people suffered injuries, the interior ministry spokesman Najib Danish said.

Danish said that the suicide bomber detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.

No group has claimed responsibility so far.
