Afghanistan: 2 killed in mosque attack

Kabul, Aug 25 (IBNS): At least two people were killed as terrorists attacked a mosque in Afghanistan's capital Kabul city on Friday, media reports said.

The attack took place in Imam Zaman Shaia Mosque in the Qala-i-Najaran locality of the city.

The attack left eight people injured.

Njib Danish, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Pajhwok Afghan News militants entered the Imam Zaman Mosque in the Qala-i-Najaran square at around 1:20pm.

Security forces later reached the spot and started rescue operation.

The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
