Afghan forces kill 6 militants in eastern Ghazni province

Ghazni, Afghanistan, July 24 (Xinhua/UNI) At least six militants have been killed as government forces pounded Taliban hideouts in parts of the eastern Ghazni province, said a statement of provincial administration released on Wednesday.

 

The government forces, according to the statement, targeted Taliban hideout in Zana Khan district, killing three insurgents on the spot on Tuesday night.

Similarly, the security forces' fighting aircraft struck Taliban hideout in Andar district on Tuesday evening, killing three armed militants.

Two militants and two security personnel have been wounded in the restive Ghazni province over the past 24 hours, the statement said.

Taliban militants have not commented on the government forces' operations.
