4 gunmen held with explosive-laden vehicle in Afghanistan's Khost province

Kabul, Mar 14 (IBNS): At least four gunmen with two explosives-laden vehicles were arrested by the Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers from southeastern Khost province of Afghanistan, media reports said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday.

Captain Abdullah, spokesman for the 1stShaista brigade of the Afghan National Army in Khost, told Pajhwok Afghan News the soldiers seized the explosives-packed vehicles in Musakhel district.

ANA reportedly took action on the basis of intelligence report.

A Kalashnikov and four pistols were recovered from the detainees, Captain Abdullah told the news agency.

Meanwhile, a car bombing incident in Afghanistan's Nada Ali district killed at least two border policemen on Wednesday, media reports said.

According local media reports, the bombing incident in Helmand province left one policeman injured.

Col. Zahir Gul Muqbal, fourth brigade border commander told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion occurred near to the border police check-post in Sayd Abad locality of the district at around 8:30am.

He confirmed the death of two policemen in car bombing.
