Planning a Saudi Arabia trip? New Package Visa could make travel easier than ever

| @indiablooms | Jul 11, 2026, at 05:52 pm

Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of a pilot programme for its new Package Visa, which is currently being rolled out through approved general travel and tourism service providers in select markets.

The new initiative will allow eligible visitors to obtain a tourist visa as part of an integrated travel package.

The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's continued efforts to attract more international visitors under Saudi Vision 2030, according to a statement issued by the country's Ministry of Tourism.

Since launching the tourist e-Visa in 2019, the Kingdom has introduced several flexible entry options, including visa on arrival, the Stopover Transit Visa and now the Package Visa.

The Ministry said these initiatives have helped accelerate tourism growth, with Saudi Arabia welcoming more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025.

Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism, said: “Saudi Arabia’s tourism story has always been about ambition, openness and continuous progress.”

“With the Package Visa, we are taking the next step: empowering our travel and tourism partners, simplifying the journey for visitors, and creating a smarter, more seamless way to experience Saudi Arabia. This pilot is a glimpse of what comes next, and we invite our partners and future visitors to be part of it,” he said.

The Package Visa will enable eligible visitors to book their journey through qualified general travel and tourism service providers, combining flights, licensed accommodation and an electronic visa application in a single integrated package.

The controlled pilot is being tested in select markets ahead of a broader rollout following its official launch.

Instead of managing separate booking and visa processes, eligible travellers will be able to access integrated packages that include round-trip flights, accommodation at licensed hospitality facilities and an electronic visa application. Travellers will also have the option to add events, activities and other tourism experiences.

For travel and tourism service providers, the Package Visa is expected to help convert growing interest in Saudi Arabia into stronger bookings and improved customer experiences.

By incorporating the visa application into the travel package, service providers can remove a key hurdle for travellers, make Saudi travel packages more attractive and create higher-value itineraries that encourage longer stays, richer experiences and greater visitor spending.

To ensure visitor confidence and satisfaction, only highly capable service providers will be eligible to participate. Requirements include digital platforms, 24/7 technical support and call centres.

“As Saudi Arabia continues to reimagine tourism, the Package Visa signals the next chapter in a wider transformation: easier entry, stronger private-sector partnerships, more integrated travel experiences, and a more seamless way for the world to discover one of today’s most exciting destinations,” the Ministry said.
