'The Kashmir Files' set to release in Israel, Consul General unveils poster

After taking India by storm, "The Kashmir Files" will be released in Israel on April 28.

The film is being released in Israel following huge demand, claimed director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.

The poster of the film was inaugurated by the Consul General of Israel to Mid-West India (Mumbai) Kobbi Shoshani when he visited Agnihotri's studio.

Angihotri tweeted, "On huge demand, #TheKashmirFiles is releasing in ISRAEL on 28th April. I thank Consul General @KobbiShoshani for coming to our studio to inaugurate the poster of TKF. It's is a major step in sharing our coming goal of fighting terrorism and promoting humanity."

"The film will be subtitled in Hebrew. It lives up to its title as narrates a true story, based on video interviews of the first-generation victims of The Kashmir Genocide of Kashmiri Hindus. The film is not just a film but an emotion and a movement," Agnihotri said.

"It's a heart-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri Hindus and questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity," he said.

The film garnered positive response from critics and fans alike and even struck an emotional chord with many including superstars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar among others.

After witnessing the response to the film, several states including Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tripura, Goa and Uttarakhand, declared the film tax-free.

The film also was released in the UAE, without any cut on April 7.

Earlier, Agnihotri had revealed that the film was banned in the country.

The Kashmir Files starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, and Pallavi Joshi in pivotal roles has achieved an impressive box office collection of over Rs 250 cr.
