Mumbai/IBNS: The makers of the upcoming Kannada film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups on Tuesday unveiled the first look of actress Rukmini Vasanth.

The poster features Rukmini as Mellisa, dressed in a bottle-green, high-neck gown with a thigh-high slit, striding confidently through what appears to be a crowded party or nightclub.

Surrounding her, people are seen dancing, drinking and celebrating, their partially blurred movements accentuating a sense of chaos and motion. Raised glasses, fishnet stockings, leather outfits and muscular silhouettes contribute to a gritty, edgy visual tone.

Warm amber and red lighting dominates the frame, while smoke and haze enhance the cinematic intensity.

The setting resembles an opulent yet decadent interior—possibly a private party or nightclub—with a patterned carpet and a glowing window in the background, giving the central character an almost spotlighted entrance.

The overall visual language hints at themes of power, seduction, danger and moral ambiguity, aligning with the film’s dark, adult-oriented narrative.

Toxic stars Kannada superstar Yash in a pivotal role and is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The release coincides with major festivals including Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid, positioning the film for a strong holiday weekend opening.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the action drama is set in a dark and gritty world shaped by crime, power and revenge.

The film has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

Apart from Yash and Rukmini, the film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi.
