Rajpal Yadav jailed in loan default case
New Delhi, Nov 30 (IBNS): The Delhi High Court on Friday sent actor Rajpal Yadav to jail for three months because his company could not repay a Rs 5 crore loan that it had taken to produce a film, reports said.
The veteran actor, who is especially known for his comic roles, had taken te loan in 2010 to fund his Hindi directorial debut Ata Pata Laapata.
Murli Projects, a firm based in Delhi, had filed a civil case against Shree Naurang Godavari Entertainment, Yadav's company, for failing to repay the loan.
In April, the Karkardooma Court had sentenced him to six months' imprisonment in the recovery suit but the actor later got bail.
The actor, who was last seen in the 2017 hit Judwaa 2, became father for the second time in October when his wife gave birth to their second daughter.
