Paris: Indian actor R Madhavan on Saturday took to social media to give some glimpses of the fine moments he shared with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron at the dinner hosted by the latter in Paris.

The actor, who enjoys a considerable fan following across the country, described India and France’s passion and dedication to do good for the Indo-French relationship as ‘intense’.

“The passion and dedication to do good for the Indo French relationship, as well as for the people of both countries was palpable and intense during the Bastille Day celebration in Paris on the 14th of July 2023. The positivity and mutual respect in the air was like a loving embrace. I sincerely pray that their vison and dreams bear fruit for all of us at the desired and appropriate time,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

In one of the images, Madhavan can be seen engaged in a warm conversation with PM Modi and the prime minister can be seen holding his hand. The French President also took a selfie with PM Modi and Madhavan. He then interacted with the Indian actor for a few moments.

“President Macron eagerly took a selfie for us while our Honorable Prime Minister very graciously and sweetly stood up to be part of it.. a moment that will be forever etched in my mind for both the uniqueness and impact of that picture. Thank you President Macron and Modi Ji for the incredible lesson on grace and humility. May France and India forever prosper together,” the actor wrote about the experience.

“Also 14th July 2023 also marked yet another fantastic and successful launch of Chandrayaan 3 with the unfailing Vikas engine built with the help of SEP France by Shri Nambi Narayanan. Praying also for the success of their important and incredible mission,” the Rocketry actor added.

PM Narendra Modi was in France to attend the Bastille Day Parade as Guest of Honour at the invitation of President of France Emmanuel Macron. The Indian PM's attendence at France's National Day also marked the 25th anniversary of the India-France Strategic Partnership. During his visit, PM Modi was conferred with France's highest award, Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, by the French government.
