Kolkata/IBNS: Singing sensation Arijit Singh's 'Bhaabo Jodi' song from Mithun Chakraborty starrer Bengali film 'Kabuliwala' was released on Friday, coinciding with the film's national release.

Composed by Indraadip Das Gupta, the audio, initially deployed on Meta, quickly gained traction and prompted producers to make the decision of releasing it on YouTube and other music platforms.

Featuring prominent figures like Mithun Chakraborty, Anumegha Kahali, Abir Chatterjee, and Sohini Sarkar, the song encapsulates the heartwarming tale of Rahmat and the endearing idiosyncrasies shared between Mini and him.

The narrative unfolds Rahmat's journey as a Kabuliwala.

On a day the film expanded to the national audience, the makers, Jio Studios and SVF, claimed 'Kabuliwala' earned over Rs. 1 crore in the first four days since its release.

The film, which is directed by Suman Ghosh, is based on Rabindranath Tagore's short story 'Kabuliwala'.

Mithun Chakraborty takes the center stage in the role of Rahmat, a character that resonates across generations, promising to rekindle the emotional warmth that touched hearts years ago.

The tale of Rahmat, set against the bustling cityscape of Kolkata in 1965, unfolds as an Afghan man's paternal love overflows for a little girl named Mini.
