Filmmaker Srijit Mukherji injured in road mishap

New Delhi, May 6 (IBNS): Film-maker Srijit Mukherji is undergoing treatment at AIIMS here after he met with an accident on Wednesday, media reports said.

According to reports, the director met with an accident after the autorickshaw in which he was traveling overturned.

The National Award winning filmmaker has underwent a major surgery on his ankle, reports said.

Doctors told ABP News that that the director has fractured his left foot and will take a few weeks to recover.

Mukherji, who is known for making films like Autograph, Baishe Srabon, Hemlock Society, Jaatishwar and Nirbaak, was in New Delhi to attend National Film Awards ceremony and the National Film Festival.
