Fahad Faasil's Aavesham outperforms Varshangalkku Shesham in initial days

The Eid season has seen two big Malayalam films clashing in the box office, with Fahad Faasil's 'Aavesham' and 'Varshangalkku Shesham' which released last week.

Director Jithu Madhavan's 'Aavesham' has garnered meaty numbers in the opening days in box office.

'Aavesham', an action-comedy, collected Rs. 16 crore across India since its release on Thursday, as per the industry tracker Sacnilk.

'Aavesham' has outperformed 'Varshangalkku Shesham', a comedy-drama, by over Rs. 2 crore.

Directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, the film has earned Rs. 13.3 crore in four days since its release.

Even in the worldwide market, 'Aavesham' has outperformed 'Varshangalkku Shesham' by over Rs. 2 crore.

While 'Aavesham's has earned Rs. 33 crore, 'Varshangalkku Shesham' stopped at Rs. 30.3 crore in four days.

The dominance of 'Aavesham' was evident in Kerala as well. In the southern state, the film has earned Rs. 12.18 crore as compared to 10.6 crore by 'Varshangalkku Shesham', as per media reports.
