Ek Villain Returns clocks over Rs 7 crore at BO on opening day

Mumbai: Ek Villain Returns has earned Rs. 7.05 crore on the first day of its release on Friday.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#EkVillainReturns reaps the benefit of franchise factor, opens better at single screens of mass pockets and Tier-2 centres... Metros - especially national chains - need to gather momentum... Day 2 and 3 crucial... Fri ₹ 7.05 cr. #India biz."

Ek Villain Returns is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language psychological action crime thriller film written and directed by Mohit Suri, and a spiritual successor to his 2014 film Ek Villain.

The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banners Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series.

The movie stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles.
