Drishyam 2 mints Rs 15.38 cr on opening day

Mumbai/UNI: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has created havoc at the box office with one of his most loved characters Vijay Salgaonkar.

Drishyam 2, which was released Nov 18, has earned Rs 15.38 crore at the box office on the first day.

The movie has garnered critical acclaim and excellent word of mouth.

The footfall at theatres have increased to the point that multiplex chains have added midnight shows to fulfill the demand for Drishyam 2.

The film is expected to grow over the weekend and attain a great weekend number.

Taking you back to the mystery of October 2nd and 3rd, Drishyam 2 features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, amongst others.

The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak.
