Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's security strengthened

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has upgraded Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's security to the Y+ category after the actor reportedly received death threats from the underworld some months ago, an official from the Home Department said.

The actor will now have four armed personnel with him round the clock which include a Sub-Inspector.

Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher will now get X-category security.

Actor Kanaga Ranut, who was being given security by the Central government, will now get security cover from Mumbai Police, informed sources told UNI.
