Akshay Kumar to star in Tamil remake of Soorarai Pottru, makers unveil poster

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of  Tamil film Soorarai Pottru which will release on Sept 1.

" AKSHAY KUMAR - 'SOORARAI POTTRU' HINDI REMAKE: RELEASE DATE LOCKED... The #Hindi remake of #Tamil film #SooraraiPottru - starring #AkshayKumar - to release in cinemas on 1 Sept 2023… #SudhaKongara - who directed the original #Tamil version - directs," film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Original movie director Sudha Kongar is also filmmaking the Hindi remake version.

Soorarai Pottru (transl. Praise the brave) is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara, and co-produced by Suriya, Jyothika and Guneet Monga.

Kongara and Shalini Usha Nair wrote the screenplay; Aalif Surti and Ganeshaa provided additional screenplay; and Vijay Kumar and P. Virumandi, wrote the dialogue.

The film stars Suriya, Aparna Balamurali and Paresh Rawal; and Mohan Babu, Urvashi and Karunas appear in supporting roles.
