Mumbai: Aamir Khan Productions on Sunday announced his upcoming release Laal Singh Chaddha will not hit the theatre on Christmas this year.

In an official statement shared on Instagram, Aamir Khan Productions announced it will release during Valentine's Day 2022.

"We welcome the decision of the administration to allow cinemas to re-open from 22nd Oct," read the statement.

"Due to the delays faced as a result of the pandemic, we will be unable to release our film, Laal Singh Chaddha, this Christmas. We will now be releasing Laal Singh Chaddha on Valentine's Day 2022," it further said.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh's sports drama 83, which is based on Kapil Dev and his Indian team's 1983 World Cup victory, will hit the silver screen during Christmas 2021.
