Rooqma Ray back on television with new show Roopsagore Moner Manush

Kolkata/IBNS: After featuring in a number of web shows, Bengali actress Rooqma Ray is set to make a comeback on television.

Rooqma will soon feature in Sun Bangla's upcoming daily soap Roopsagore Moner Manush.

In the daily soap, Rooqma plays the protagonist, named Purna, who lives with his father and family at the police quarters.

Purna, who is brilliant in studies, focussed and head strong, is aspirant to fulfill her father's dream.

Speaking on her new work, Rooqma said, "I am working with Sun Bangla for the first time. I am very hopeful of positive feedback."

"Roopsagore Moner Manush is a very different daily soap. I have never featured in this type of a role. We all are working hard to make this project a success," she added.

Rooqma, who caught the limelight on television with her role in Kiranmala, featured in Kundo Phuler Mala, Khorkuto, Desher Mati, Laalkuthi et al.

After gaining fame on small screens, Rooqma worked on web shows Rahasya Romancha Season 3, Byomkesh Season 6, Roktokorobi.

She will next feature in Hoichoi's upcoming web show Noshtoneer.
