Kolkata/IBNS: The official poster of Arna Mukhopadhyay's upcoming Bengali film 'Athhoi', an adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'Othello', was unveiled by the makers on Saturday.

The poster features a striking contrast between Arna Mukhopadhyay, Sohini Sarkar, and Anirban Bhattacharya.

The poster artistically highlights the moral dichotomy between good and evil.

The thematic battle between good and evil is central, echoing the idea that this conflict is inherent in every individual.

In this adaptation, Sohini Sarkar portrays Diya, a character inspired by Desdemona, Arna Mukhopadhyay steps into the role of Dr. Athhoi Lodha, a complex reinterpretation of Shakespeare's Othello, while also directing the film.

Anirban Bhattacharya takes on the role of Gogo, a character reminiscent of the manipulative Iago, besides being the creative director.

The film, which is produced by Jio Studios and SVF, is slated to release on June 14.
