Kolkata/IBNS: The makers have recently unveiled the promotional music video 'Aami Aar O' from Kaushik Ganguly's upcoming Bengali film 'Palan'.

'Palan' is Ganguly's birth centenary tribute to filmmaking legend Mrinal Sen.

The film reprises roles from Sen's 1982 film 'Kharij'.

Speaking at the launch, Ganguly said, "'Ami are O' is not just a song, it’s a movement that will resonate with people as it is relatable to every Indian household."

'Palan' features Anjan Dutt, Mamata Shankar, Jisshu U Sengupta and Paoli Dam in the lead.

Anjan Dutta said, "The way Kaushik Ganguly guided me, I followed it in detail, it helped me to shape and portray my role. And while making this movie I loved the way how my character was being portrayed in the movie."

Mamata Shankar said, "It was Mrinal Sen whose dream was to make this movie and in absence of him, I think Ganguly has done justice.

"As being a part of the movie, I can surely say that the movie has been created beautifully and I believe that Mrinal is still with us and in between us."

'Palan' will be released in theatres on September 22.
