Kolkata/IBNS: Tollywood superstar Jeet starrer Chengiz, which is the first Bengali film to be released in Hindi across the country, was premiered at a city mall in Kolkata on Friday.

Though the reviews and box office collections are yet to come, several city halls witnessed craze among fans of the senior Bengali actor.

Speaking at the premiere, which missed attendance of big Tollywood stars, Jeet thanked his fans for "loving the cinema".

When specifically asked how much support he got from his colleagues at the premiere, the actor spared less words in saying, "I have always got support from a section of Tollywood. I have always received love from my fraternity, media and everyone else. Thank you for all the love."

Chengiz, which portrays the underworld scenario of Calcutta (now Kolkata) from 1970s-1990s, co-stars Sushmita Chatterjee in the lead.

Jeet plays the underworld kingpin.

Apart from Jeet and Sushmita, Chengiz features Rohit Bose Roy, Shataf Figar in key roles.
