Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali film superstars Rituparna Sengupta and Jeet recently graced the launch of new production banner, Nandy Movies, in Kolkata.

Led by producer Pradip Kumar Nandy, the production house has already garnered attention with its recent film, Madam Sengupta, starring Rituparna Sengupta and Rahul Bose.

"As we received an overwhelming response for Madam Sengupta, we are planning a sequel, with shooting expected to begin in January next year," Nandy said at the event.

Welcoming the new entrant to the industry, actress Rituparna Sengupta said, "Today is a special day. A new producer is beginning his journey, and that’s great news for the industry. Many more exciting films are on their way."

Jeet announced his upcoming film Keu Bole Biplobi, Keu Bole Dakat, to be directed by Pathikrit Basu and produced under the Nandy Movies banner.

He hinted that production may commence around Durga Puja.

"The whole team is excited. The subject of the film is larger-than-life and carries a Robin Hood-like theme," Jeet said.

He also hinted at a potential collaboration with Rituparna Sengupta in the near future.

Actors Tota Roy Choudhury, Anirban Chakrabarti, Subrat Dutta, and Sabyasachi Chowdhury, along with directors Pathikrit Basu and Sayantan Ghosal, were also present at the event.
