Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali actor Sauraseni Maitra says becoming national award winning singer-songwriter Anupam Roy's "muse" in Saregama's new music video, Darun, is "an absolute honour".

Saregama in collaboration with Roy released Darun Tuesday.

Speaking to India Blooms, Maitra says, "I would like to thank Saregama for promoting a non-film song in this way. It's an absolute honour to be Anupam Roy's muse."

The song showcases the protagonist (Roy) and his team entering an antic house where they come across a photograph of a beautiful woman, portrayed by Maitra.

As the video proceeds, Roy goes into a trance-like dreamy mode where he is seen seeking the mysterious, surreal lady from the photograph in a seeming celebratory occasion.

"The song is to uplift the mood. It is a celebration of love and creation. It is the cherish of unattainable love," Roy told India Blooms and added, "It is inspired from the kind of music I was listening to around 2016-2018."

Darun, which is directed by Rohan Basu, is streaming on all OTT platforms along with Saregama's YouTube channel.

Saregama with Roy is releasing four songs of different genres throughout the year.

Putul Aami, the first song, was released on Valentine's Day this year.
