Sandip Ray to direct new Feluda film based on Satyajit Ray's 'Hatyapuri'

Kolkata/IBNS: SVF and Sandip Ray are all set to bring Bengal’s favourite detective Feluda and his two most reliable companion Topshe and Jatayu, to unravel a murder mystery set in the backdrop of Puri.

The famous murder-mystery thriller ‘Hatyapuri’, directed by Satyajit Ray, is all set to hit the big screens in 2022.

Satyajit Ray’s ‘Hatyapuri’ is a murder thriller where the three musketeers’ vacation is upturned when they discover an unidentified dead body on the beach.

Feluda being inquisitive as always sets his search for truth along with his two most reliable companions- Topshe and Jatayu.

As Feluda's investigation unfolds, the murder leads the trio to someone named D.G Sen- who is found to be holding passion in collecting rare manuscripts. 

The story takes a mystifying turn when one of the famous manuscripts of D.G. Sen goes missing and one more dead body is found in Puri. With progress, a web of dark truth is revealed as Feluda, Topshe and Jatayu dig deep into the case.

The music of ‘Hatyapuri’ is composed by Sandip Ray himself. Soumik Haldar, the best cinematographer of eastern India will be behind the camera for the film.

The cast of the film is yet to be revealed.

With ‘Hatyapuri’, SVF is all ready to revamp the iconic character of private detective Pradosh C. Mitter, also known as Feluda, in a brand-new avatar.
