Ranbir Kapoor's Animal releases on Netflix

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor starrer film, Animal, has been released by the makers on Netflix.

The film, which is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was released on Netflix on January 26.

Despite widespread criticism it has drawn, the film traded successfully in the box office, collecting over Rs. 500 crore as its revenue.

Animal, co-starring Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri, was criticised for its portrayal of "violence" and "misogyny".

The film is centred on Ranbir's toxic relationship with his father played by Anil Kapoor.

The plot shows Ranbir would go to any length to protect his father, even impacting his relationship with his wife Geetanjali, played by Rashmika.

The film was released on big screens on December 1, 2023.
