Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor recently broke his silence on the trend of boycotting Hindi films by a section of netizens.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arjun said, "I think we made a mistake by being silent about it and that was our decency but people have started taking advantage of that. I think we made a mistake by thinking that 'our work will speak for ourselves'."

The actor has also called for a unity of his film industry to tackle the boycotts.

After his remark, Arjun was trolled by a section of netizens who even linked his actor girlfriend Malaika Arora on Twitter.

One user with username Nobody Special said, "Koi b aira gaira kuch bhi bol raha hai..... Who is he?? Do people even know him for anything other than Malaika's boy friend.... And what Advantage ur talking about??? The money in you pocket is people's money, which you got from your father i guess Yeh to bichara berozgaar e hai."

Another user said, "Meanwhile in a parallel universe #ArjunKapoor this is called too much bullish!t by a Nepo kid; & Malaika Khan needs a eye check #BoycottBollywood MTL: What Stopping CBI InSSRCase."

Rupan Debnath says, "Or probably he will start dating somebody else's wife and leave Malaika now."
