Rhea Chakraborty attends Sushant Singh Rajput's funeral, Twitterati praise actress

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty, who was a rumoured girlfriend of late Sushant Singh Rajput, on Monday attended the Bollywood star's funeral on Monday, media reports said.

Chakraborty, Sushant's co-stars Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor were among the Bollywood celebrities who had attended the funeral here.

Earlier in the day, Chakraborty was seen visiting Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital where the post-mortem of the mortal remains of Sushant, who committed a suicide at his flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Sunday, was conducted.

Twitterati, who were critical of several top Bollywood personalities in their reactions to Sushant's suicide, praised Chakraborty for attending the funeral which saw a miss by top stars.

One Mohit Singh tweeted, "Yesterday all the Bollywoodiyas were showing grief for sushant sir. And today there is no-one on the graveyard to support his family. Bollywood is full of HYPOCRITES."

"Not a single person from bollywood came to console sushant sir sister and accompany his father and thousands of tweets are around at least she came to stand with his family in this difficult time that makes you human," one Shekhar Tiwari said.

Sohom tweeted, "Painful to think of #RheaChakraborty & Sushant. She has disabled comments on Instagram, as she was getting hate. The media & blinds targetted her as if she’s a controlling manipulative girlfriend who wants to benefit from his success. She must be extremely shaken and heartbroken."

Umang Mishra tweeted, "#RheaChakraborty is the only person from Bollywood who reached to cooper hospital to see sushant sir for the final time."

The suicide of Sushant had earlier triggered a much-talked-about 'nepotism' debate on Twitter, targetting Bollywood's leading contemporary actress Bhatt and celebrated filmmaker Johar in the micro-blogging site.

Several Twitterati have lashed out at Bhatt and Johar for allegedly encouraging nepotism in Bollywood while Sushant with no lineage in Bollywood was trying to climb the ladder in the city of Mumbai.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was on Monday targetted by several Twitterati who are mourning the death of actor Sushant.

Khan was even accused by the Twitter users of destroying the career of Vivek Oberoi who had once dated Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the ex-girl friend of the Dabangg star.
