Mumbai/IBNS: Sequels are quite common in Bollywood now and this time after the release of Ayushmann Khurrana's Badhaai Ho in 2018, a sequel of it titled Badhaai Do will now be made by its makers.

Badhaai Ho was not only a hit but also went ahead to win the national award.

The 2018 movie starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in the lead roles.

However, Badhaai Do will not feature Ayushmann in the lead role. Instead, actors Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao will be part of the star cast.

Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, the movie is scheduled to release in 2021.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: " IT'S OFFICIAL... #RajkummarRao and #BhumiPednekar in #BadhaaiDo... Will take the franchise #BadhaaiHo forward... Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni... Produced by Junglee Pictures... Starts June 2020... 2021 release."
