Mumbai, Jan 2 (IBNS): Actor Anupam Kher has asked why the trailer of his upcoming movie "The Accidental Prime Minister"  is not easily available on the Youtube.

Kher could be seen playing the character of former Indian PM Manmohan Singh in the movie.

Kher tweeted: "Dear @YouTube!!! I am getting messages & calls that in parts of our country if you type, trailer of #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister, it is either not appearing or at 50th position. We were trending at No.1 yday. Please help. #HappyNewYear. #37millionviews https://youtu.be/q6a7YHDK-ik ."

In case a person searches for the trailer of "The Accidental Prime Minister" on YouTube, then he will end up finding several interviews of Kher.

On the other hand,  searching "The Accidental Prime Minister' official trailer" will ultimately make one find the trailer of the movie.

The movie has triggered a controversy ever since the trailer was published recently.

From nuclear deal to scams which had unnerved the Congress government, The Accidental Prime Minister touched all of them.

The trailer of the film has evoked anger from the Congress which had alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to which Kher is known to be close, is trying to malign the party ahead of the 2019 General Elections.

However, Kher said he won't back off as this film gave him his career-best performance.
