Putin to meet Volkswagen group head Diess on Friday

Moscow, Apr 12 (Sputnik) Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Group Herbert Diess on Friday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The president has several internal working meetings planned for the day. And, in addition, he will receive Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Group, Mr. Diess," Peskov told reporters.

The spokesman added that the Russian president regularly talked to top managers and representatives of large foreign companies, "especially such giants as Volkswagen, which has been in the Russian market for a long time and successfully."

Volkswagen AG is home to several famous brands, including Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat as well as Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti in luxury segment and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Scania focused on trucks.
