Pakistan: Religious scholar Tariq Jamil tests COVID-19 positive, admitted to hospital

Islamabad: Pakistani religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil has tested COVID-19 positive.

He has been admitted to hospital.

The religious scholar tweeted: "Peace be upon you and God's mercy. For the past few days, I have been feeling unwell. Corona has tested positive. I have been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors, special prayers are requested from all lovers."

The religious scholar belongs to the  Tableeghi Jamaat group.
