Pakistan: 3 killed in Quetta blast

Quetta, Sept 13 (IBNS) At least three people were killed in a blast in Satellite Town area of Pakistan's Quetta city on Saturday, media reports said.

According to reports, 24 people were injured in the blast.

A patrolling vehicle of the Frontier Corps (FC) was reportedly the target of the blast.

“Around 45 kilogrammes of explosive material was used to target the Frontier Corps’ patrolling vehicle. An FC soldier was among the three dead. The blast injured 24 people, including FC soldiers,” Abdul Razzaq Cheema, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Quetta, toldThe Express Tribune.

A patrolling vehicle, two cars, a rickshaw and window panes of shops and buildings were damaged due to the impact of the blast.

Security officials rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
