Nepal bus mishap leaves 31 dead

Kathmandu, Aug 15 (IBNS): At least 31 people were killed as a bus in which they were travelling veered off the road and plunged down in Nepal's Khaharekhola area on Monday, media reports said.

According to reports, the bus was going towards Madankudari of Kavre district from Kathmandu city when the mishap occurred at around 1 pm.

District Chief of the National Investigation Department Dhan Bahadur Budhathoki was quoted as saying by The Himalayan Times that 31 bodies were already recovered from the incident site. According to him, the death toll may rise further.

The victims have not been identified so far.
