Imran Khan condemns Rawalpindi blast

Rawalpindi, Jan 9 (IBNS): Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan on Friday condemned the blast in Pakistan's Rawalpindi city which killed seven people and left 17 others injured.

Khan tweeted: "Condemnable sectarian terror in Pindi Imambargah. Have yet to see national resolve on anti-terror translate into resolute & holistic action."

The blast, which left 17 people injured,  targeted an Imambargah in Chitian Hatian area.

"A suicide attacker blew himself up after his attempt to enter the worship place was foiled," Geo News reported quoting the police.

The injured people were taken to District Heaquaters Hospital.
