Baghdad attack toll reaches 165

Baghdad, July 4 (IBNS): The death toll in Sunday's blast in Iraq's capital Baghdad has touched 165 on Monday as the country is observing three-day mourning following the tragedy which hit the nation.

The attack left more than 220 people injured.

The attack took place at a time when the holy month of Ramadan is nearing to an end.

Many people were present on the streets of the city when the attack occurred, media reports said.

According to reports, a lorry packed with explosives blew up in a busy shopping street in Karada area of the city.

The SITE Intelligence Group, a US-based monitoring service claimed that militant group ISIS has taken responsibility for the attack.
