Afghanistan: Taliban leader killed

Kabul, Nov 6 (IBNS): A Taliban leader was killed during clash with security forces at Lalpoor district in Afghanistan, media reports said on Sunday.

Attualluah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Afghanistan's Pajhwok Afghan News that the Taliban commander known as Omar was killed during a clash with security forces in Cricket Maidan area of Lalpoor district on Saturday night.

Security force or civilians did not suffer casualty in the incident.

Separately, two militants linked with Lashkar-I-Islam group were detained in police search operation in Abdullahkhe area of Achin district, Pajhwok Afghan News  reported.
