Afghanistan: Taliban leader joins peace talks
Kabul, Feb 7 (IBNS): A Taliban leader has severed ties with the militant group and joined the ongoing government peace talk, local Khaama Press reported.
The leader, who is said to have been actively involved in insurgent activities, hails from Nangarhar province.
During the process he surrendered with a rocket launcher, a communication device and other explosives, the agency quoted police officials as stating.
The militant group is yet to comment on the report.
