Afghanistan reports 36 new COVID-19 cases, 36,782 in total

Kabul/UNI:  Afghanistan on Tuesday reported 36 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, taking the country's total to 36,782, the country's Ministry of Public Health said.

The ministry said that during in the past 24 hours, 187 tests were conducted in the country, out of which 15 tested positive for COVID-19 who are from western Herat province and 21 positive cases belong to the capital Kabul, TOLOnews reported.

A total of 1,288 COVID related deaths have been recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic in February, but no deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.

Of all the infected people, 25,556 have recovered so far and have been discharged from hospitals.

Laboratories across Afghanistan have completed 89,547 tests during the past six months.
