Afghanistan: Pakistan Embassy in Kabul closes its consulate section amid rising COVID cases

Kabul: The Pakistani Embassy in Kabul city has closed the consular section due to rising COVID-19 cases.

"Due to the deteriorating situation of Covid-19 pandemic, the consular section of the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul will remain closed for one week from 13 June to 17 June 2021," the Pakistan Embassy said in a statement.

"Further announcement would be made on Thursday 17 June 2021," it said.

The Embassy said it would continue to be operational for the online visas issuance facility.
