Sushant Singh Rajput suicide: Mumbai Police summon film critic Rajeev Masand

Mumbai/IBNS: The Mumbai Police on Tuesday summoned film critic Rajeev Masand for questioning in connection with the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, media reports said.

Rajeev might be questioned on Tuesday over some of his "blind articles" allegedly targeting Sushant, Zee News reported.

In one of the articles, Rajeev had indirectly called Sushant a "skirt chaser", an "overpriced outsider".

The 34-year old actor, who was undergoing depression, had committed suicide at his flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.

The PRs of Sushant have said the actor used to get depressed over negative articles on him.

His suicide has created a storm in the tinseltown with several actors including Kangana Ranaut calling out Bollywood biggies for encouraging nepotism leading Sushant to take the extreme step.

Sushant's last film 'Dil Bechara' will premiere on Over-the-top (OTT) platform Disney+ Hotstar on Jul 24.
