After Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss rant, Pakistani RJ Ejaz Waris apologises to Katrina Kaif over body-shaming remarks
Islamabad/Mumbai/IBNS: Pakistani radio jockey Dr. Ejaz Waris has apologised to Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif for his remarks about her postpartum body after Hindi film superstar Salman Khan criticised online trolls on the television show Bigg Boss 20.

During the latest weekend episode of Bigg Boss 20, Salman criticised trolls after his ex-girlfriend Katrina faced body-shaming comments from a section of social media users over her postpartum weight gain.
The actor spoke out against the practice of commenting on celebrities' weight and appearance, questioning the mentality behind online trolling.
Ejaz Waris apologises
Following Salman's remarks, Ejaz posted an Instagram video apologising to Katrina, her fans and Salman.
He said he had reflected on his earlier remarks and realised that his words may have been hurtful.
In his post, Ejaz wrote, “Sorry Katrina Kaif. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely apologize to Katrina Kaif for my recent remarks. After Salman Khan mentioned yesterday on Bigg Boss, I reflected and realized that my words may have hurt Katrina and many of her fans.
“Body shaming was never my intention. I’m also sorry to Salman Khan and to everyone who felt offended. Sometimes words come out wrong, and I genuinely regret mine.”
Ejaz's apology came after his earlier comments about Katrina's appearance sparked criticism on social media.
Salman Khan takes on trolls
Addressing the Bigg Boss 20 contestants during the 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode, Salman said people troll celebrities over their weight, appearance, families and even their smiles, while also targeting women over post-pregnancy weight gain.
He addressed body-shaming after pregnancy, saying weight gain after pregnancy is normal and that a woman should be allowed to spend time with her family rather than being targeted over her appearance.
"Everyone puts on weight after pregnancy. She will be fit again when she returns to work. Now she wants to spend time with her family," Salman said defending Katrina.
He also criticised the way paparazzi and social-media users comment on celebrities' bodies, clothes and appearance.

Katrina Kaif faces body-shaming
Salman's remarks came days after Katrina Kaif's appearance at the Ambani family's Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai sparked discussion on social media, with a section of users commenting on her postpartum appearance.
Katrina attended the celebrations at Antilia with her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal.
The couple welcomed their first child, son Vihaan, in November 2025, and their appearance at the festivities marked one of their first major public outings together since becoming parents.
