Kolkata/IBNS: Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor on Sunday rubbished the speculation of him essaying cricket great Sourav Ganguly in the latter's would-be-made biopic.

When asked about the speculation, Ranbir told India Blooms here, "I think Dada is a living legend, not just in India but around the world. A biopic on him will be very special. Unfortunately, I have not been offered the film. I think the makers are still writing the script."

"... I am not aware of the biopic on Dada," the actor added.

Earlier media reports had claimed that Ranbir was in talks with Sourav Ganguly in playing India's celebrated cricket captain on the big screen.

Meanwhile, Ranbir, who had essayed veteran actor Sanjay Dutt on-screen in the past, is waiting for the release of his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.

The romantic-comedy, which also features Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, is slated for Mar 8 release.
