Sonu Nigam , India's 1st transgender band launch music video

Mumbai, Feb 15 (IBNS) After garnering over 3 million views on YouTube and Facebook as well as immense critical acclaim on its second music video, Sab Rab De Bande, a collaboration with India’s most loved singer, Sonu Nigam, the Brook Bond Red Label 6-Pack Band released its third single today, the acoustic version of the same song, but with a key difference: the music video of the song is inspired by a true story that took place with one of the members of the band.

The song, which is an adaptation of the teachings of the ‘Guru Granth Sahib’ and gives the heart-warming message of us all being children of the same Almighty, features the story of one of the six members of the band in its music video.

One of them had faced discrimination at a job. Although the video puts a positive spin on the story and gives it a happy ending, in real life, she was rejected on the basis of being a transgender.

The video attempts to make the world a more welcoming place for everyone from the transgender community, so that they can break down the shackles of prejudice and discrimination and be accepted by the larger society.

The video can be seen at: https://youtu.be/x4isiasjOBc

The Brooke Bond Red Label 6-Pack Band has been launched by Y-Films and features music by Shameer Tandon, with lyrics by Nishant and additional rap lyrics by Varun Likhate. The band constitutes among its members Asha Jagtap, Bhavika Patil, Chandni Suvarnakar, Fida Khan, Komal Jagtap, Ravina Jagtap. Their music videos can be seen exclusively on www.youtube.com/yfilms.
