Shah Rukh Khan receives Crystal Award in Davos

Davos, Jan 23 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday received the Crystal Award at a ceremony which kick-started the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The actor has received the award for his leadership in championing children's and women's rights in India.

The award was organised to celebrate the achievements of outstanding artists who have shown exemplary commitment to improving the state of the world.

Along with Khan, Australian actress Cate Blanchett and English musician Elton John were also honoured.

While Blanchett was honoured for raising awareness of refugee crisis, John has received the honour for his leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

After reaching Switzerland, the superstar had enthralled his fans by sharing an image on Twitter where he was seen reliving his signature pose from Bollywood's iconic film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.
