Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy out of Oscar race, fails to reach next round

Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy is out of the Oscar race as it failed to find a place in the list of 10 movies released by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the Best International Feature Film category.

These 10 movies will now move to the next round of voting.

Director Zoya Akhtar's movie, which also featured actress Alia Bhatt, was India's official entry in the Best Foreign Language category at the 92nd Academy Awards.

Gully Boy emerged as one of the major hits of 2019.

Meanwhile, the ten movies which moved to the next round are:

Hungary, “Those Who Remained”
