Radhika Apte's wishes for Rajnikanth

New Delhi, Feb 5 (IBNS) Actress Radhika Apte recently congratulated her co-star Rajnikanth who was honoured with a Padma Vibhushan award.

The actress, who will be seen sharing the screen space with the legend, was extremely happy and glad with the news.

Radhika, who was shooting the first schedule of the film with the actor in Goa, was preparing for her next schedule when she learnt about the news.

She immediately picked up the phone and called Rajni sir to wish him and congratulate him for the big news and both spoke over the phone for  a while.

Rajnikanth and Radhika Apte have also interacted on the sets of their film and the actress feel immensely lucky to be working with the legend. Radhika was initially nervous about shooting opposite the veteran actor, but was made comfortable by him later as he helped her with her lines and cracked few jokes.

Radhika shared, "He is an icon for the people of the entire country. So many people idolize him and so do I. What I really like about him is his humility. There is so much I am learning by just observing him."
