Chandigarh/UNI: Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, who died on Tuesday in a road accident on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway in Sonipat district of Haryana, will be cremated in Ludhiana on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old actor was accused of being the key conspirator of the Red Fort violence on Republic Day last year.

He had participated in the farmers' agitation against the Centre's three farm laws at the Delhi borders.

Deep along with his female friend was travelling in a SUV from Delhi to Punjab when the incident took place near Pipli toll plaza in Kharkhoda, around 25 km from Singhu border, the epicentre of last year's farmers' protest against farm laws.

The condition of his female friend was stated to be stable. The body of Punjabi actor was handed over to his family members after an autopsy.
