Milkha Singh invites team Saala Khadoos to his Chandigarh house
Mumbai, Jan 26 (IBNS): Renowned athlete Milkha Singh had invited team Saala Khadoos to his house in Chandigarh.
The Saala Khadoos team consisting of Producer Rajkumar Hirani, actors R Madhavan and Ritika Singh visited the legendary athletes residence on Tuesday over lunch.
Rajkumar Hirani presented a hamper filled with goodies to Milkha Singh along with an autographed poster of his biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
While in conversation, Milkha shared that on seeing the rushes of the film was of the opinion that Saala Khadoos would help promote the sport, boxing in India.
Being an athlete of India origin, Milkha is overwhelmed with the makers of Saala Khadoos for making a sports oriented film.
Saala Khadoos is a sports film, featuring R Madhavan as a badass coach who relentlessly pushes his protege played by Ritika Singh to overcome obstacles and achieve her boxing goals.
Milkha Singh is happy with the fact that a film maker of Rajkumar Hirani's stature is producing a sports oriented film as his very first production.
The athlete feels that the strong content of the film backed by Rajkumar Hirani would prove to generate interest in the sport and facilitate participation.
Rajkumar Hirani Films & Tricolour Films in association with UTV Motion Pictures present Saala Khadoos.
The film stars R. Madhavan in lead role alongside Ritika Singh. The film written and directed by Sudha Kongara is all set to release on Jan 29.
