Mahima gets best actress award at FOG for Dark Chocolate

Kolkata, Aug 23 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Mahima Choudhury has been crowned the best actress for the movie 'Dark Chocolate' premiered at the Festival of Globe (FOG) in the Silicon Valley, San Francisco, California.

A jubilant Mahima said: "I am deeply honoured. To be recognized for acting is the greatest honour in our profession."

Directed by Agnidev Chatterjee the movie is a fictional take based on a gruesome murder which shook nation's conscience months back involving some high profile people in Mumbai's social circuit.

The movie is set for pan-India release on Sept 2.

FOG is one of the biggest festivals for the Indian Diaspora in the USA.

Organised by Festival of Globe and Federation of Indo Americans,, FOG features the best of world cinema with a gateway to Silicon Valley that fosters creative and technical talent.

Besides Mahima, Riya Sen plays a significant role in the bi-lingual flick along with Rajesh Sharma, Mumtaz Sorcar, Indrashis Roy, Kaushik Sen and Sudip Mukherjee.

The film is produced by Pradip Churiwal.
